Pressure group United for Change Movement says it is strongly behind the Wednesday 25th, 2015 demonstration organized by the Movement for Change over the current erratic power supply.
The Movement for Change is embarking on a massive demonstration in Kumasi in the Ashanti region over what they call the worsening economic conditions and the adverse effects the current erratic power supply is having on businesses in the country.
The United for Change Movement has congratulated the NPP’s ‘Won gbo’ demonstration which was held last week on the power crisis.
The group is blaming the Mahama-led administration for not doing more to ensure stable power supply in the country.
The group said it is also unhappy about the turn of events after the group (Movement for Change) sought permission to stage their intended demonstration.
Public Relation Officer of the United for Change Movement, Jamaludeen A. Abdullah indicated that they will not sit back to watch the current administration worsen the living conditions of the individual Ghanaian hence their decision to support the demonstration.
“In effect, the Mahama administration seems to be telling Ghanaians it cannot do more to ensure stable power supply. It is against this backdrop that Ghanaians should not relent in their efforts to demand the best from the party in government. Any organization or group of people staging a demonstration to demand immediate yet very pragmatic solutions from the Mahama administration must be patted at the back,” he stated.
The group is therefore urging all Ghanaians to massively troop to the Ashanti regional capital on 25th February, to support Movement for Change in this exercise.
