Use Ramadan to purify souls-Collins Amankwah admonishes Muslims

The Member of Parliament for the Manhyia-North Constituency, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah has implored Muslims to use the holy fast of Ramadan to purify their souls just as the Holy Quran has admonished.

Being one of the pillars of the Islamic Religion, the youthful legislator urged Muslims to attend to the fast with the solemnity and sobriety it deserves.

Addressing separate meetings with Islamic clerics and worshipers at the Moshie Zongo, Krofrom, Yennyawoso and other Zongo communities in the constituency last Friday, Hon Amankwah rallied the youth to learn from Prophet Muhammed some of his exemplary character traits.

”Let the values of the Islamic Religion and the sterling character attributes of the holy Prophet guide all of us to live in peace with all men”, Hon Amankwah posited.

Speaking with passion, the Manhyia- North MP urged Muslims to feel part of the change that was happening in the country and work to ensure the government succeeds with the policies it has promised.

According to him, when the government succeeds with its plans and programs the entire populace will also experience the benefits of a good economy.

” I will humbly appeal that as citizens and legitimate ones at that we help the NPP government to implement the good programs and policies it has outlined for the economic take off of this country”, Hon Amankwah stressed.

The legislator reminded the youth of the task ahead of them as citizens and rallied them to work with the skills or competences they have so as to build a country they could feel proud about in the near future.

PROMISES:
Responding to an appeal made to him at the Moshie-Zongo, Alsunna, Alhuda mosques by the respective Imams about the deplorable roads in the community, Hon Amankwah promised to liaise with the Ministry of Roads and Highways to ensure the bad roads in the community are re-constructed.

He agreed the roads in the Moshie-Zongo community was a vital one since the route serves a link to many adjoining towns in the Kumasi metropolis with people from the Tafo constituency and others from Kwabre often using the route as an escape anytime there is traffic build up in the main road.

The legislator also promised to ensure three main football parks in the Moshie-Zongo, Buokrom and Krofrom are attended to by the construction of new artificial pitches in the aforementioned areas to save the youth from injuries they suffer while playing on the existing hard grounds.

The MP later presented some bags of rice, sugar, gallons of cooking oil and some undisclosed amount of cash to all the 21 heads of the Zongo communities in their respective mosques.
