Police in the Volta region say they are committed to stopping criminal activities but need timely information from the public in order to protect them from miscreants.
The announcement by the Police was contained in a press release signed by Volta Regional Public Affairs Officer of the Ghana Police Service; Corporal Prince Dogbatse.
The release follows the conviction of three young men who stole various items from the Ghana Revenue Academy at Kpetoe.have confessed to the crime.
The items include four polytanks with 1,000 litre capacity each, 24 pieces of ceiling fans and a set of water closet valued at GHC23, 500.
The culprits, Badawusu Kwadzo James, 18, Bedu Godsway, 21 and Agbowali John, 21 confessed to the crime, pled guilty and were convicted on their own plea. They were also identified to be terrorizing residents of Kpetoe and involved in many stealing and burglary cases some for which they are already standing trial for in the same court.
