Johnson Asiedu Nketia in an interesting response to the NPP’s call for a new voter’s register says; “tell the NPP that you cannot scare a zongo kid with long beard”. He was responding to members of the opposition who insist there will be chaos if a new voter’s register is not developed for the 2016 elections. “Let them bring the chaos and see what happens, that’s why we have the Police in this country”, he stated.
General Secretary of the NDC says the NDC is not even listening to all the NPP’s “noise” about a new voter’s register.
He maintains that the current voter’s register is the best the country has ever had and adds that it has mechanisms to clean it if there is reason to believe it is compromised.
He believes the NDC had the mandate of majority of Ghanaians and hence the NDC’s view is also representative of the views of majority of Ghanaians.
“Why are they still making noise when we are all going to make presentations on the subject for a decision to be made on the 29th and 30th October, 2015 at the Alisa Hotel, he queried.”
He was speaking at the weekend during the President’s visit to Kumasi.
