The incumbent Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Ampomah has indicated her desire to serve the party for another four year term.
In an interview with the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper in Kumasi last Wednesday, Madam Ampomah said ‘it was important to consolidate the gains the party had made in the region by working more harder to woo more women into our fold’.
” I intend to resource all the Forty-seven (47) constituency women organizers in the Region to enable them work more effectively when re-elected into office”, Madam Ampomah posited.
Previously, the women organizers across the region had worked under difficult conditions with some using their own resources to conduct party activities.
This, Madam Ampomah noted would be a thing of the past since she was determined to use her office to lobby for more incentives and resources for the upkeep of the constituency women’s organizers as well as their counterparts at the branch levels.

Regular outreach and door to door programs would be intensified to ensure the party wins more people to its fold.
She promised improved monitoring of all constituency activities so as to engender more activism and vibrancy among the rank and file of the party.
