Former Deputy Ashanti regional Minister; Joseph Yammin has revealed that the NDC, even before the elections has already garnered 850,000 votes in the Ashanti region.
“We have already garnered 850,000 votes as part of our one million votes agenda. We are just left with 150,000 votes to go”, he revealed on Adom TV’s Badwam Program Monday.
Joseph Yammin who spoke on a myriad of issues raised on the programme expressed shock at the NPP’s attitude towards the Electoral Commission and the Head of the Commission; Ms. Charlotte Osei.
He wondered why the NPP will demonize an electoral Commission that has on two occasions declared the NPP winners of National elections in Ghana “just because they are not in power” and adds that Nana Addo will lose election 2016 no matter what is done to the Voters’ register. “Even in the Ashanti region, NPP members are dropping out of the party.
He said the NDC is steadfast in her resolve to develop Ghana now, unlike the NPP that favours doing things later. “Looking at the history of the NPP, they have always been in favour of doing things later, but the NDC will develop Ghana now even if it means temporary discomfort”, he said.
