“We have been neglected for long in DCE appointment: consider our son now” – Sefwi Chirano paramountcy to Nana Addo

The chiefs and people of Sefwi chirano in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality say they have been neglected since 1992 in the appointment of MCE in the area.
Recounting their ordeal in a press conference held at Sefwi Chirano near Bibiani, the spokesperson for the Youth group , Mr Martin Nyarko said successive governments have being appointing MCEs from only Anhwiaso and Bekwai without considering Sefwi Chirano which they think is unfair looking at the formation of the municipality.
They are therefore calling on Nana Addo to this time around consider their candidate, Mr Michael Gyamprah for the MCE position.
The abakomahe of Sefwi Chirano traditional area and chief of Sefwi Akaaso Nana Kwesi Nwunu ll said it is high time they are also considered and given the MCE position as a paramountcy.
The chief further recounted how they campaigned strongly for Nana Addo to win massively in Chirano despite the fact that chiefs are not expected to engage in partisan politics. He said they did it in the hope that with Nana Addo’s victory, they will be considered for an MCE position. he therefore pled for their son; Mr. Michael Gyamprah to be considered favorably for the position.
