We’re ready for double track system-KUHIS Assistant Headmaster

Ghana Education News-The Assistant Headmaster of Kumasi High School (KUHIS), a very famous grade-A secondary school in the Ashanti Region says his outfit is ready to commence academic work in the double-track system government is implementing this academic season.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper on Tuesday morning, Mr Solomon Nti said the school is ready to take off from next week when first track students have fully registered and undergone orientation.

Currently, he noted the school has been able to admit 1,312 students due to the introduction of the double track system.

Previously, he stated KUHIS had accommodation and spaces for only 800 fresh first year students who gained admission.

‘’My brother we are excited to take off next week and all is on course for students on both tracks to enjoy the best of academics and all that KUHIS has to offer students who have gained admission here’’, Mr Nti noted with smiles.

The Assistant Head commended the government for deployment of the double-track system.

According to him, the system will be able to offer more students access to secondary education in an uncongested spaces.

He revealed 200 students as at 9am Tuesday had reported to the school to register and participate in the orientation program tailored for fresh students.

Mr Nti said the school has no time to waste as the double-track calendar has been structured in a manner that does not permit for delays in Academic work.

‘’We have no time to waste as the academic calendar is structured and any delay will affect students’’, the Assistant Headmaster stated.

HOMECOMING EVENT:

Speaking about the school’s home coming event which starts this weekend to the 23rd day of September, the Assistant Head rallied all former students to prepare to participate.

The program, he noted starts with a free breast screening exercise on the school campus as the famous Cancer Surgeon Dr Mrs Beatrice Wiafe Addai graces the ceremony to educate students about the disease.

On Friday the 21st day of September, the School is billed to have a food bazaar and an inter-year group football competition.

The school will on Saturday organize a float in the morning as a dinner has been planned on campus in the evening with formal attire as dress code.

A thanksgiving service will climax the activities on Sunday, the 23rd day of September as the school gathers to offer praise to God for his mercies on campus.
