Ghanaian Rapper EL says he is trying to in his own small way to create awareness about making more beats with African rhythms.
He says the Western world will snatch “our beats” if we are not careful.
Elorm Adablah tells KSM in an interview about a survey he conducted when he recently traveled to the United States of America.
The just ended Vodafone Ghana music award(VGMA 2016) artiste of the year winner says he also interviewed some people from Israel, Italy and some other countries about what they love about African music and got the impression that outsiders love the beats “we make here in Ghana and Africa in general”.
The koko hitmaker emphasized that “if we don’t take care the western world will snatch our beats and claim ownership of our beats”.
E.L attributes his artiste of the year award at the recently held VGMA 2016 to hardwork and states that it didn’t come as a surprise to him.
