Osabarima Gyan II, Krontihene of Wiase traditional area has says no more land fees and taxes will be paid to the Omanhene of Wiase traditional area; Nana Adu Attah Ababio II.
He tells the press there has been a long standing dispute between the Omanhene’s family and the Kronti family. This he says has served as capital for the omanhene to usurp their lands with impunity for his personal gain, harvesting from the land charcoal, timber etc.
The Krontihene says there seem to be no effort from the Omanhene to settle the dispute, a situation which has made them resolve to fight for their rights.
The tension between the families is already know to the Atebubu Police who have jurisdiction there as well as the District Security Council.
Information gathered by rawgist.com reveals that the situation if not checked as soon as possible could degenerate and hence the need for a quick resolution.
