A 33 year old woman narrowly escaped death after she was stabbed severally by three suspected robbers who attempted to snatch her bag. The incident occurred around 7:00pm on Sunday at Asuoyeboah, a suburb of Kumasi.
Judith Konadu who is receiving treatment at the Maranatha Clinic at Asuoyeboah told Ultimate Radio she struggled with the three men who pushed her against a wall and also stabbed her four times.
She says her assailants run into the bush thinking her screaming could attract the attention of residents.
“I was on my way to the house when I saw the three men. One was wearing a red t-shirt. He attacked me and the others were pulling my hand bag, but I held the bag very well. So they pushed me and I hit my head against a nearby gate. I started screaming so they stabbed me severally and escaped”.
“A neighbor heard me screaming and came to my aid and rushed me the Hospital. They were not able to take my bag. I had less than ten cedis in it with my Samsung galaxy note 2 and a Sony Ericson phone. I had four cuts; some of my hand, my back and my head. The one on my back is deep so they may have to stitch it for me. It was my hair that saved me from saved me from sustaining a deep cut in my head”.
The victim says she is yet to report the attack to the police for investigations. Such attacks have become rampant in the Kumasi Metropolis in recent times.
