Ms. Comfort Yaa Fosua Darbo, an Assembly woman for Dwaho, and an aspiring Vice Chairperson hopeful has stated that, women has what it takes to become leaders in the political discourse in running effective party’s activities.
According to her, women are equally capable like men to deliver when given equal opportunities in the field of work.
Ms. Darbo who is vying for the Vice Chairperson possition in the Ahafo North constituency of Ashanti region, stated that, she believes most of the women are even more than capable as leaders at any leadership level.
She further alleged that women are being undermined in favor of men when it comes to leadership positions.
She indicated that, women are the majority but society still treats them as slaves. She says the society will be a better place if that mindset is changed.
Ms. Darbo insisted that in the face of all the challenges faced by women, they needed to be encouraged to pick up leadership roles in society.
