Haitian-born-Grammy-Award winning musician, Wyclef Jean, has praised the Ghana Black Stars for their breathtaking victory over Algeria in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Ghana beat the Algerians, who are Africa’s number one ranked team, in the second Group C cliffhanger in Mongomo Friday.
The Black Stars of Ghana won the match through a decisive last-minute strike by the captain of the team, Asamoah Gyan.
Commenting on the game in a tweet, shortly after the last whistle, the ‘911’ hit singer gave a thumbs up to Asamoah Gyan and the team.
“The #GHA #BlackStars just stunned #Algeria the captain did it @ASAMOAH_GYAN3 Boom sorry @NacimCity #CAF #Clefication,” he tweeted.
Ghana will now face South Africa in the last Group C match on Monday for a place in the Quarter-Finals of the tournament being hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
