Former Deputy Ashanti regional minister; Joseph Yammin has descended on Deputy Chair of Ghana’s Electoral Commission; Dr. Bossman Asare, questioning why his deeds are contrary to what he teaches.
Mr. Yammin, a student of Defence and International Politics at the Ghana Armed Forces Staff College in a write-up copied to www.rawgist.com recounts the importance of Dr. Bossman Asare as far as international politics is concerned; adding that he is the author of one of the essential books for the course titled International Politics and Diplomacy; a subject of which he was a lecturer.
He is therefore surprised that a person with the knowledge base that Dr. Bossman Asare has in politics and diplomacy will stoop so low as to supervise an election that makes Ghana a laughing stock amongst other nations. “How can a man so vest in international politics stoop so low to the point of even getting rudimentary arithmetic of percentages wrong?” he questioned adding that “Bossman is supposed to be a mark of authority considering his knowledge base”.
Ghana’s general elections held on 7th December, 2020 has left many in suspense as both the NDC and NPP are contesting the results of some parliamentary contests in various areas. The NDC has been demonstrating and insisting they will not accept the results as has been announced and gazetted. They say the elections have been rigged in favor of the ruling NPP. They also insist there are too many inconsistencies in the results announced by the electoral commission, one of which it had reason to come out to correct.
Mr. Yammin suspects that there is a concerted plan to maintain Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP in power at all cost; an agenda he believes Dr. Asare and the top brass of the EC is involved in.
