Ghana News-Aspiring Ashanti NDC Chairman; Joseph Yammin is sad about the state of projects left by the erstwhile NDC government.
He tells rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi he recently passed by the military hospital project at Afare and has remain sad over the abandonment of that very important project.
He said the 500 bed hospital has not seen any progress since the NDC got booted out of power.
“We nurtured the hope that the hospital would see her first client by the first quarter of 2017 but it has been pushed several times into the future. The defence minister recently gave the contractor 6 months to complete the project but a more recent news item says the project is expected to be ready for use by December, 2018. Looking at the state of the facility, I even doubt that deadline”, he lamented.
He also lamented the state of the 250 bed Regional hospital project at Sewia.
“Kumawu hospital that we left at 70 per cent state of completion has all been abandoned”.
“John Mahama built 6 hospitals in the Ashanti region within a space of 4 years and these would have employed thousands of nurses and other health and non-health workers but they have all been left to rot”, he cried and challenged anyone who doubts his claim to send cameramen to go round to get a first-hand footage of the state of the projects.
