Deputy Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin, seem to have started an unsolicited campaign for NPP General Secretary aspirant Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John.
His reason for wading into opposition politics remains a mystery to many political pundits for now.
The former Ashanti regional NDC Secretary has been extolling the grassroot activities of Sir John.
He tells rawgist.com Sir John has a higher chance of retaining his position as General Secretary of the biggest opposition party in the country.
Joseph Yammin, before speaking to rawgist.com had said on Asempa fm that “Sir John is 100 times better than the other aspirants because his relationship with the grassroots makes him the number one contender”
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie is defending his position against the likes of the press secretary to former President John Agyekum Kufour, Kwabena Agyepong, Yaw Boabeng Asamoah and Captain Nkrabea Effah Datteh (rtd) who are all not leaving anything to chance in their bid to become General Secretary to the largest opposition party in Ghana.
But even before the party’s National Delegates’ Conference Saturday, Joseph Yammin, has predicted victory for Sir John.
