NDC stalwart Joseph Yammin has expressed concern that “NDC lecturers” on the various tertiary campuses are unable to come onto the airwaves and speak for the party and government as compared with their counterparts in the New Patriotic Party.
This he believes will embolden students who are NDC supporters and sympathizers to also show face and participate in the activities of the party on campus.
Joseph Yammin was speaking at an event to welcome NDC freshmen to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He cited how “NPP lecturers” like Dr. Amoako Baah defend the NPP on radio in the name of being “social commentators” and wondered why lecturers who belong to the NDC show apathy towards the party.
He also asked the students not to lose hope because they have not received tangible personal benefits from the government they have committed themselves to for sometime and assures them the NDC takes care of its own even if it takes time.
He replied NPP stalwarts who also seemed to have a difficulty with the NDC’s 1 million votes target for the Ashanti region saying “if Nana Addo is bold enough to set the target he set for the Volta region, why can’t the NDC set a target for the Ashanti region?”
