Yendi – Partner Dagbon for commercial agriculture, Ya Na to South African High commissioner
The King and overlord of Dgbon, Ya Na Abukar II has called on South Africa to partner with the Dagbon Kingdom in commercial agriculture. He said Dagbon has fertile land for the cultivation of commercial rice, maize, millet, yam and live stock in commercial quantities.
He therefore called on the South African government to look into supporting Dagbon in this regard.
The king made this call in a welcome address read on his behalf by the Chief of Zangbaling Jakob Yakima Mahama when the new South African High commissioner to Ghana Her Excellency Grace Janet Mason called on him at his palace on Friday March 20.
The high commissioner indicated that the South African republic has a great relation with the Dagbon Kingdom and therefore pledged to cement this bilateral relationship in terms of development.
