The Youth Impact Network (YIN) has embarked on a campaign called the #31daysOfPeace.
This campaign will see Ghanaians across the country taking beautiful photos and accompanying them with well-crafted peace messages.
President of YIN; Mr. Emmanuel Osei who launched the campaign a week ago told rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi the campaign will help draw attention to the beauty of our peaceful country and the need to maintain the peace we enjoy.
“We’re glad to pronounce that the #31daysofPeace Campaign is duly launched by the Youth Impact Network” he announced to members of the organization and added that “we encourage every Ghanaian youth to join this campaign through our social media handles. We need Sustainable Peace for Sustainable Development.”
How to participate:
Mr. Emmanuel Osei explained that any Ghanaian can participate in the campaign by sending a photo and Peace message to the inbox of the Youth Impact Network Facebook or Twitter handle. The information will then be picked, artistically touched and published.
He encouraged every Ghanaian to participate to drum home loudly the need for a peaceful political atmosphere.
Background:
Ghana goes to the polls to elect a President and legislators on 7th December, 2020.
The activities leading to this all-important election, including the utterances of some persons involved are building tensions and making many residents uncomfortable.
Many organizations and corporate institutions are doing various activities that seek to engender peace before, during and after the elections.
